Although banners can be printed on paper, they are normally produced on vinyl so they can be used indoors and outdoors. Vinyl choices include glossy and matte (dull) and come in different thicknesses. For longer term outdoor applications or areas of strong wind, the heavier duty vinyls are a better choice. There is also a blockout or scrim vinyl that reduces the amount of backlighting so that the image does not lose its contrast when the sun is behind the banner.

We produce banners in a variety of ways, including cut vinyl and digital printing. For cut vinyl, the cost will vary depending on the number of colours. For digitally printed banners, the cost is the same, regardless of the number of colours used.

We normally hem the edges of the banner to prevent any fraying and provide a more finished look. To install these banners, we can put metal grommets in the corners and along the edges that you can tie a rope or bungie cord to. We also have plastic banner clips available. These handy clips are stronger than grommets and are reusable.

In addition to hanging your banner on a wall or fence, we can also provide a wide choice of banner stands, including automatic rollup stands, motorized scrolling stands and many others.

billboards, lawn signs, election signs, for sale signs, garage sale signs, road signs, traffic signs, wood signs, metal signs, real estate signs, architectural signs, show home signs, business signs, commercial signs, building signs, and just about any other type of signage.

Many of the signs we produce are printed on high resolution digital printers (large format printing) but we also use cut vinyl for solid colours. Cut vinyl signs are great for long term use where there are only a few colours required or logos without a lot of fine detail (for that we would use digital printing).

For outdoor use, the material selection is often different than for indoor use. The inks we use for outdoor signs will hold up very well for more than 3 years with direct sun and rain exposure. The inks will last longer than that but after 3 years you may start to notice some slight fading of colour brightness. For even longer use without fading we can laminate them with a UV protective coating. We can also provide routered or 3D signs for a more textured look.

We can provide all the necessary graphic design work for you at reasonable rates or you can supply your own graphics (pdf, tif, jpg, ai, cdr etc.). And, we can of course also provide any required sign installation, repair or removal services.

Whether it's for an exhibition, convention, event or a trade show, we can supply a wide variety of trade show display stands from our Calgary sign shop, including light weight "pop up" units of all sizes. These units come with hardshell carry cases and lights and have "Velcro friendly" cloth backing or we can custom print your colour graphics directly on the panels.

Trade Show tip! Before you book a booth or table at a trade show, consider the type of audience that the show might attract. Exhibiting at a smaller show with less traffic can produce better results than a large show, if the type of traffic is your direct audience!
